Here’s a few answers to frequently asked questions. We’re enhancing this list on a regular basis. If you can’t find the answer, please email us at images@iofoto.com.
> how do i license an iofoto image?
We have a fantastic distributor network. Search our images on 123RF, Dreamstime, Fotolia, iStockphoto, Lucky Oliver, Shutterstock, SnapVillage, or Stockxpert. Not all distributors have all images. If you’re looking for a specific image, please contact us and we’ll help you find it.
> can i buy direct from iofoto?
No, we ask you to support our distributors. Click any of the links above. And if you can’t find one of our images that meets your needs, there’s thousands of other stock photos from great photographers around the world on the sites.
> are iofoto images model-released?
Yes! All of our images have signed model releases. Our model releases allow for commercial use of the image. The images may be used for medical and pharmeceutical marketing or presentations. The images may not be used to for anything related to pornography, or other offensive uses. If in doubt, just contact us.
> can you tell me how to contact the model?
No, we do not share or compromise the privacy of our models. If you would like to work with the model for a project, please contact us and we will contact the model. (Any models featured in our profiles have given their permission for their names to appear.)
> what cameras do you use?
We shoot with top of the line Canon 1Ds Mark II and Hasselblad H3D-39 systems. The Canon RAW files are 17 megapixel, while the Hasselblad files are a huge 39 megapixel capture. Much of our landscape work is shot with the Hasselblad.
> do you retouch your images?
Yes, every image is custom color-corrected and retouched. We always work from a 16-bit RAW camera capture to create the highest quality file. Our team of digital artists has over 50 years of collective experience!
> what are your file specifications?
All our images are delivered as Adobe RGB 48Mb files to the distributor network. Each distributor may offer the file at that size plus a number of smaller sizes as well. If you need a larger file, please contact us and our experienced digital team will create a file to your specifications without compromising the image quality. In many cases, we can work from the original RAW or TIFF file. The fee for this service is $100 USD not including the cost of the image license.
